PLEASE NOTE: These will only fit original Winchester 97s with the correct grooves cut - If your barrel does not have the grooves cut for the screws, they will have to be machined. These will not fit reproduction Winchester 97s currently on the market. Will ONLY fit P14 & P17 bayonets.

Winchester trench gun heat shield
I filed the notches on the barrel on the winchester 1897 and put it on and it fit perfect. Nicely made and not a flimsy cheap reproduction. It looks great!

Winchester 1897 Trench Gun Bayonet Adapter
Very well made and excellent value for the money. This is a "six-row" heatshield version, which is correct for WW I and early WW II trench guns. Only problem I had was some burrs left when the adapter was tapped for the mounting screws, but that was easily fixed with a rat tail or half-round file.

Bought this to make my own Winchester trench gun. Used a 1925 Winchester model 1897. Cut down barrel and put this shield on. It came out awesome!!!!!
