Evolving out of WW2, this cool & cold weather hat was a staple of U.S. troops in the Korean War. Frequently worn under the helmet to take advantage of the soft lined side flaps. It was the hat of choice due to its ability to convert from simple ball cap with side panels tied above the head, or dropped down providing warmth down into the neck. Likewise, the visor could stay down or be pushed up when not needed. Olive drab, new manufacture with liner tag and cords for the side flaps. Perfect for camping of for pulling the snow plow out during a storm.
