During the Korean War a brigade of Turkish troops participated along side U.S. forces and acquired M1 Garands. Turkey, a prolific modifier of all sorts of bayonets, modified Mauser bayonets to fit the M1 Garand. These are not seen often and were discovered in our warehouse during reorganization of our bayonet section.
