This Mauser G98/40 8mm rifle has a 24 inch barrel, front sight, and adjustable rear sight. The top of crest is marked "Eagle/173/ jhv ". Crest is also stamped "43" just in front of the ejection port. Eagle stamped at left rear of barrel and front left of receiver. Two-barrel bands with bayonet lug at front barrel band. Cleaning rod with slotted tip. Metal buttplate. The right side of the buttstock is marked ‘Eagle / WAA173’.The bottom of the buttstock is also stamped with the serial number, Eagle and ‘jhv'. The serial number matches the bolt, stock, floor plate, and barrel bands. Comes with a brown leather sling. The overall condition is good with some light scratches, nicks, and patchy loss of bluing to metal surfaces.
