bolt tool
If you own any M1 carbines, and actually shoot them this tool is a must. M1's have a rep. of failures to feed(bolt not going fully into battery), and or eject. This is usually caused by carbon build up between the extractor, spring, and the bolt face. Solution strip the bolt, clean, re-assembly, shoot!! NO MORE JAMS!!!! again for choir this tool is a must. This tool from zarco works great, Unsure if G.I. surplus, appears to be new construction? well made, price is really reasonable, fast delivery. Happy with my purchase.

bolt tool
First I have two M1's. A 3rd. generation universal, and a made in 1943 G.I. Recently I have seen the need to replace the bolt springs on these carbines. This tool works as intended for both. I was a little uncertain about the universal due to the firing pin spring(none on mil. spec. carbines), BUT this tool does work one just needs a little extra care as the firing pin will leave the back of the bolt with some authority/force. I used a small wood block to hold in the firing pin when using this tool on the universal, all's good. No extra tools needed with the U.S.G.I. war baby. Also ordered the springs from sarco! fast delivery even in nov. 2020!!!!!

Bolt disassembly tool
part did not work. Was not able to work with my bolt. Had to go to gun Smith and use his tool.
