New M1 Carbine beautiful walnut early 2 rivet handguards. Hot off the machine. Because of the variations in different stocks some hand fitting and sanding may be required.

Second Purchase
I bought my second 2-rivet handguard. Like the other, it required quite a bit of fitting, especially across its width, but it too is a nice piece of walnut.

Would not fit my 44 Winchester. Sight groove to high and narrow. It obliterated front sight aquisition. Fantastic wood and workmanship. Just did not work for my carbine.

m1 carbine handguard
The relief cut for the slide on these is too long, so it will not match up with the relief cut in the stock.

Nice Wood, but Needed Some Fitting
Bought one of these to replace a metal one. The slide cut out doesn't line up with the cut out on my stock and the overall length was a bit too much. Also the handguard is too tall, obscuring almost all of the front sight. But after fitting it and sanding the height down and the sight groove deeper, it worked out well, and after applying an oil finish it looks rather nice.
