Wearing your helmet was arduous especially when you had to march great distances through Eastern Europe and the Russian plateau in the summer. Troops were happy to have a means to fasten their helmet to their gear so they could use their soft caps. Originally made in the late 1930s and used with the M35, M40 & M42 helmets. New made, in strong black leather with steel clips.
