GERMAN MOUNTAIN TROOPS EDELWEISS BADGE
One of the few German WW2 Military emblems without the Reich Eagle, Runes, or Swastika. This metal badge was issued to those soldiers who completed the challenges of the Edelweiss March or endurance hike at high altitudes in preparation for extreme mountain warfare. Exclusive of this, it is a beautiful badge as adorned in movie classics like Clint Eastwood’s & Richard Burton’s M43 caps in ‘Where Eagles Dare’, to the ‘glam’ runways of Milan where it is used as nouveau couture accessories. Regardless, it is the emblem of the ‘Mountain Hunter’ and for use by only the fittest!
