The German Kriegsmarine War Ensign Flag was used on Naval ships and installations from 1938-45. Fastening points are braided cotton cord loop at the top and long strand at the bottom.

Poor quality military flag
I was somewhat disappointed in the quality of this flag. The fabric was very thin and wrinkled and the markings are printed on the flag body unaligned. Not worth having as a serious military replica item.
