G-43 Magazine, New MFG

Required a little filing on the stamped front retainer lip and the welds holding it to the body. Once done, it fits tight and feeds flawlessly on a 1945 K43.
It might take some minor fiddling, but it beats the high cost of an original to have a 2nd mag for my mix-master shooter.

Reviews of aftermarket mags for this rifle had me skeptical about purchasing one. I was pleasantly surprised to find the one I received inserted and locked easily into my K43 and removal was similarly as easy. No modifications required for proper fit. Rounds seem to feed okay, however I have not actually live fired the rifle with this mag yet to verify correct function.

Only negative I have seen so far is the bolt occasionally would not lock back on empty mag (however, saw same problem with period correct original magazine) and there are several sharp edges so, handle carefully unless you are willing to file or otherwise smooth the offending surfaces.

This magazine absolutely does NOT fit a gewehr 43.

Quality looks good but is hard to insert and remove. Original magazine clicks right in and falls out when released
