This is a model of a ballista, an ancient battlefield weapon. It scales according to the original ballista, and ancient elements such as loop patterns are added to add to the appearance. Patterns matching the ancient siege equipment are bent around the base and crossbow body. Great fun to build and would be a wonderful weekend project to work on with the kids or for a hobbyist. Shoots small arrows using rubber band power.
