    Rusty & light corrosion

Posted by Jackson Barker on Aug 4th 2020

I had been waiting for these to come back in stock and jumped on it. Received fairly quickly. This may be NOS, but it’s been sitting somewhere unprotected for a while. Scabbard is not VN era and has no mfgr code, also has lots of corrosion on all metal parts including the interior...missing one rivet on canvas mount to scabbard. Bayonet is in better shape, but it too has corrosion where it’s been in contact with scabbard. Spent an hour with 0000 steel wool and oil, wire brush on Dremel, and felt pad w/ jewelers rouge to buff down corrosion. Didn’t get it all, particularly the interior of scabbard where knife retention is. Oiled all...we’ll see if it holds.

Wow! Super fast shipping and processing. Bayonet was as advertised, as new with correct sheath. Thanks SARCO!

    Colt M7 Bayonet

Sarco hit it out of the ballpark with the Colt bayonet I received. Looks like it just left the factory and was never issued. Scabbard was mint with a couple of handling marks. I don't think I will ever see another one in this excellent condition.

    “New”? Rusted and used

Posted by Joseph Pearlingi on Jun 12th 2020

These don’t come up for sale too often, and at this price it was too good to pass up. Advertised “new condition” These were not “new” These were rusty and the scabbard was well used as well. I’ll have to clean it up. Price was still decent, but these are NOT “new condition” (scabbard IS correct)
