Love this mount! It has a base to bolt onto a vehicle, bunker or ship, wall or bulkhead. Torsion springs in the base provide strong adjustments for elevation or depression allowing for the cradle to lock at an angle or parallel to the ground. Cradle accepts .30 cal / .308 size machine guns. It is relatively light compared to similar equilibrator cradle mounts, but is made from steel and quite rugged. Left side has bracket for holding an ammo can tray. Would work well with Jeeps, armored vehicles and boats! From the base mount, it raises to about 12 inches high and with cradle attached, takes it up to about 16" in height. Original military item.

Articulated machine gun cradle/mount
A very well made and practical mount for the M-1919A4 and possibly another type of weapon. requires a bit of elbow grease and penetrating oil but a fun project as these were stored overseas outside and do have surface rust but a very interesting mount.
