The Panzerkampfwagen IV, commonly known as the Panzer IV, was a German medium tank developed in the late 1930s and used extensively during the Second World War. It featured a larger turret ring designed for tank-to-tank combat. More than 8000 Panzer IV tanks were produced during the war, comprising approximately half the German tank forces on the Western Front.
