Colt 10 Round story
These magazines are an interesting story. They originate with a company called Green who was for a brief time, a supplier of Colt magazines. Green manufactured 6, 7, and 8 round mags for Colt and eventually tooled up to produce a 10 rounder. For some reason their first shipment of the 10 rounders was rejected by the Colt factory and Green ceased production of Colt magazines, selling their tooling and magazine parts to Triple K. Triple K continued production, assembling the parts they had on hand including using the pony stamped baseplates... even though they were not supplying Colt. When the Pony stamped baseplates ran out Triple K continued making the magazines but with a generic baseplate... still using the plastic "colt" logo sleeve. These magazines are an interesting part of Colt history, and even though alot of the production was not endorsed by Colt
